Hi! My name is Sandy Chase. I grew up around Gray, Georgia. I graduated from Jones County High School in 1987. I spent seven years in the Georgia Army National Guard.
I moved to Winder, GA (near Athens) years and years ago. I have one daughter, Samantha. She graduated from WB High School. She graduated from Columbus State University. She went on to finish her master’s degree at UGA and is currently working on her PhD. She is an Awesome band director.
I moved back to Gray over ten years ago! I didn’t realize how quickly time has flown by until I went to update my Biography here. I became a massage therapist 20 years ago because I was looking for a more natural way to treat some muscular problems that I was having. Being an enthusiast of karate and horseback riding had left me feeling years older than I really was. I didn’t want to take medications and sought a homeopathic remedy for my troubles.
I found the perfect treatment through massage therapy.
Once I fixed my problems, I decided that I wanted to help other people with their muscular problems. I finished massage school and went to work for several different Chiropractors. At each place that I have worked, I have learned new techniques for medical massage, as well as advanced stretching and relaxation techniques.
I have taken SO many continuing education classes that I attached a separate listing of my massage CEUs for anyone to read. I obtained a diploma denoting that I have successfully completed all training necessary to be designated a Certified Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP). Just this year, I completed a Certification in Lymphatic Drainage.
I went back to college years ago at Athens Technical College and at North Georgia State University to study advanced Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry and Biology classes. I graduated from Middle Georgia State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Three years ago, I realized my dream of opening a Massage Therapy School in Jones County. By working directly with Chiropractors, Doctors and Physical Therapists I have created a program that will develop highly marketable skills for graduates. We will be enrolling soon for our 4th class – Time Flies!!
In May 2024, we purchased 1.67 acres of commercial property in Jones County and are currently developing it for our expanding massage therapy practice and the school.
I believe that massage therapy is an invaluable resource for specific soft tissue injury correction and as more people become educated regarding the benefits of legitimate massage the field will grow and become respected. I am always willing to come to groups and give free talks and mini seminars about the benefits of massage and the different types of massage that are available. If you would like me to come and talk with your group, please give me a call anytime.
I look forward to the future and am excited to see what it brings!
