Pricing FAQs
Are there different prices for the different types of massage?
I don’t charge a different price for Swedish, Pregnancy, Sports, Medical, NMT or Deep Tissue Massages.
In my experience, most massages are really a combination of many different types of modalities and the types of techniques that are used are really just dependent on the type of results that you are seeking.
For example, you may want a massage for relaxation but also want me to check on a shoulder pain obtained while playing tennis the previous day. I would use a combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques for relaxation and then evaluate and attend to the shoulder issue with Medical Massage knowledge and a combination of neuromuscular and trigger point techniques, as needed.
What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are currently accepted.
Do you take Insurance?
No.
I do have a NPI (National Provider Identifier) number.
The thing with insurance is that it is really hard for individual practitioners to accept insurance without having an outside staff to handle all of the crazy amounts of paperwork that the companies throw at us. It is really not worthwhile. I have tried it in the past and never received even half of the money owed to me by the companies.
However, I will be happy to help you fill out paperwork in order to obtain reimbursement by your company as a policy holder. Additionally, in my experience, it is easier for you (the policy holder) to get reimbursed than it is for me (the service provider) to get paid.
I have been to many different training seminars regarding accepting insurance for massage and I can offer many helpful strategies. If you have any questions about insurance, please give me a call.
