Stretches and strengthening activities are created for each person depending on what their body needs. We will work to decrease dysfunctional movement and increase functional movement for you. Middle Georgia Medical Massage’s Corrective Exercise Program is a personalized, hands-on program designed to help reduce your pain and help you “move better”.
Newcomer’s Package (Best Value!)
Three 45 minute sessions and a phone consult all for only $129
The Newcomer’s Package offers your first three sessions with the Corrective Exercise Specialist as a bundle. This is a great choice if you aren’t sure what you need and want a full evaluation. You will receive a set of analyses (posture, range of motion, gait analysis) and the Corrective Exercise Specialist will create a routine individualized to your needs and goals.
These sessions are scheduled over a month to give your body time to adjust to a new way of moving and so that we can track your progress.
- Week 1 – On your first visit, you will complete a client intake and discuss your goals with the Corrective Exercise Specialist, have a posture and preliminary range of motion analysis completed, and be taught preliminary stretches based on your functional pain level and/or personalized goals.
- You will be taught a routine of stretches to practice at home.
- Week 2 – On your second visit, the Corrective Exercise Specialist will review your photos of the posture analysis with you and complete the in-depth, measured range of motion analysis. Additional stretches and movement routines will be taught as your body adapts and becomes stronger.
- Week 3 – Routines are practiced at home. The Exercise Correction Specialist is available for a phone consultation to answer any of your questions.
- Week 4 – On your third visit, your range of motion analysis will be reviewed, a gait assessment and review will be conducted, and you will continue practicing adapted stretches and strengthening activities.
One Hour Restorative Session – $50
This is a great choice if you want to learn how to stretch more effectively. Moving your body and releasing tight muscles can be a very effective way to reduce pain and discomfort.
Each session includes a visual evaluation by the Corrective Exercise Specialist. Mixing stretching modalities is helpful in both learning how to stretch effectively and in increasing your flexibility and mobility. Active and passive stretching will be used, along with a mixture of static and dynamic stretches, allowing your body to move in low impact and restorative ways.
One Hour Dynamic Session – $50
This session is focused on balance and movement. Balance drills and stretches are designed for clients who are athletes, weightlifters, or simply movement oriented based on your personal goals.
The Dynamic Session will use predominantly active dynamic stretches. These stretches use controlled movements that prepare the muscles, ligaments, and fascia for performance and safety. This form of stretching helps to improve speed, agility, balance, flexibility, and acceleration.
Dynamic stretches involve the active tightening of your muscles and moving your joints throughout their full range of motion. These actions help increase muscle temperature and decrease muscle stiffness.
